　キング牧師が生きれいれば、今日で78歳を迎えるはずだった。公民権運動の指導者は、若くして命を奪われたのだとあらためて思い知らされた。映像でしか見たことがないのだが、彼のリーダーシップと勇気、大きな愛情にはいつも胸を揺さぶられる。
　手は届かないけれど、気さくに声をかけてくれそうなヒーロー。生きていく上で、彼の存在をいつも覚えていたい。
